lightbulb What it's for
Settle an order that will never be paid — a walkout, a mistaken order, or a payment that can’t be completed — by marking it closed. It cancels the payment obligation and clears the order from the open list while keeping a record. It’s password-protected and can be reopened.
settings Set it up (Admin)
- 1Open the order, tap “More Actions” (⋯) and “Close Order”.
- 2Read the notice (the order is treated as cancelled and won’t require payment).
- 3Enter the admin password and confirm — the order shows a “CLOSED” tag with a lock.
- 4To undo, reopen the dialog (“Order Closed. Revert?”) and confirm with the password.
point_of_sale How staff use it (POS)
- 1The guest is no longer asked to pay for the order.
- 2Their order/receipt shows a “closed” indicator.
- 3No refund or charge is triggered — it simply voids the obligation.
