lightbulb What it's for
Hold Orders (Busy Mode) is a one-tap switch that instantly stops new orders when the kitchen is slammed — without closing the restaurant or editing your hours. Guests can still browse the menu but can’t check out, giving the kitchen room to catch up. Tap it off and ordering resumes at once.
settings Set it up (Admin)
- 1From the orders screen (or the Dashboard), tap the Busy Mode button — “Set Busy” / “Set Open”.
- 2When on, the button turns green and a red “Busy Mode ON — clients cannot place new orders!” banner shows across your screen.
- 3Tap “Set Open” to resume accepting orders.
smartphone How guests use it (Client)
- 1Guests see a red notice: “Orders are currently on hold!” with a short apology.
- 2They can still open and browse the menu, but checkout is blocked.
- 3When you switch it off, ordering re-opens for them.
