lightbulb What it's for
The Item Limiter caps how many of an item can be sold. Each order counts down the remaining quantity, and when it reaches zero the item is automatically marked “Sold out” so guests can’t order it. It’s ideal for daily specials or limited stock.
settings Set it up (Admin)
- 1On the Quick Menu Tasks screen, tap “Item Limiter” on an item to open “Set an Item Limiter”.
- 2Enter the maximum quantity in “Set max. item quantity” (whole numbers only) and confirm.
- 3The item shows a “{n} Items left” badge, flipping to “Sold out” at zero.
- 4Tap “Disable Limiter” to remove the cap entirely.
smartphone How guests use it (Client)
- 1While stock remains, the item behaves normally.
- 2At zero, the guest sees a greyed card with a “SOLD OUT” overlay and badge.
- 3The sold-out item can’t be tapped; trying shows a “This item is sold out” notice.
info Limits & good to know
- chevron_rightOnly whole numbers of zero or more are accepted.
- chevron_rightZero (or below) means sold out; no limiter set means unlimited — they’re different states.
- chevron_rightRaising the number again re-enables ordering immediately.
- chevron_rightThe cap is per item, counted down as orders come in.
- chevron_rightDifferent from Hide Item — a limiter keeps the item visible but blocks ordering; hiding removes it entirely.
