lightbulb What it's for
A Meal Combo is a single, fixed-price “deal” item that bundles several choices — for example a drink + a main + a dessert — sold for one combo price instead of three separate items. It’s the classic way to sell set meals and lift the average order, and any premium pick (a glass of wine instead of a soda) can carry a small surcharge.
settings Set it up (Admin)
- 1In Items, open or create an item and flip the header toggle from “Standard Item” to “Meal Combo” — the name field relabels to “Meal Combo Name”.
- 2Set the combo’s own price in the price dialog; this one price replaces the individual prices of everything inside.
- 3Click “Create a Meal Group” for each choice step (e.g. “Select your drink”) and use the “Meal Group Organizer” to add the eligible items, adding an optional “Surcharge” to any premium pick.
- 4Open “Meal Combo Creation” and assign the meal groups to the combo and set their order — or let the Meal Wizard walk you through it.
smartphone How guests use it (Client)
- 1The combo looks like a normal item on the menu; tapping it opens a “Build your meal by choosing one item from each group” builder.
- 2Each group shows a red “Not Selected” until the guest taps “Select” and picks one item; premium picks show a “+price” surcharge badge.
- 3A running breakdown shows the Meal Base Price and Meal Total Price; the guest taps “Add to order” once every group is filled.
