lightbulb What it's for
A Special (Sale) Price is a time-limited discount that automatically overrides every other price while it’s active, then reverts on its own when it expires. It’s the fastest way to run a “today only” promotion without touching your real menu price. Guests see the sale price with the original crossed out.
settings Set it up (Admin)
- 1Open the item’s price dialog and enter the “Special / Sale Price”.
- 2Set the required expiry date and time — a sale won’t save without a future expiration.
- 3While live, a green “Sale Price Active” banner and a red “SALE” badge appear; after expiry they show “Expired”.
- 4For instant sales during service, use the “Sale Price” action on the Quick Menu Updates (POS) screen.
smartphone How guests use it (Client)
- 1The item shows its sale price in a red chip with the original price struck through.
- 2On-sale items are grouped to the top of the list.
- 3The guest simply pays the sale price while it’s live.
