lightbulb What it's for
The KDS is a paperless ticket rail: every incoming order appears as a live card and updates in real time. Cooks see what to make, advance each dish through prep, and finished orders clear themselves so only active tickets stay on screen. It runs in any browser or tablet — no special hardware.
settings Set it up (Admin)
- 1Create at least one Prep Station under Overview → Prep Stations (one is set as Main Prep).
- 2Optionally route items to stations and set an item’s Preparation Timer for a live countdown.
- 3Open the Orders screen — no extra KDS enablement needed.
outdoor_grill How the kitchen team uses it
- 1In the Selectors Hub, tap the “KDS” pill to switch the screen to kitchen mode.
- 2Work the incoming cards — use the buzzer (In Prep / Ready / Served) or the item checkboxes to advance dishes.
- 3Switch density (Compact / Expanded) or layout (board vs Kanban) from the bottom-left controls.
