Instead of prepping a dish order-by-order, Prep Assist pools every outstanding instance of an item across all live orders into one view. The kitchen cooks a batch at once, sees how many orders each item spans, and marks them all ready in a single confirm — ideal for a rush on a popular dish.
settings Set it up (Admin)
- 1Little setup — it works off your existing items and orders.
- 2Item images and Prep Station links make the grouped columns clearer.
outdoor_grill How the kitchen team uses it
- 1On KDS, open the Items Drawer — items are grouped with a count and an “N Orders” caption.
- 2Tap up to three items, then tap the green “Prep Assist” button.
- 3Each item is a column and each card is one order; tick instances or use “All”, then confirm with “Ready”.
