Prep Stations are designated prep areas (Grill, Bar, Salad…). Items route to where they’re made, so a cocktail shows only on the Bar screen and a burger only on the Grill screen. Selective routing keeps each station’s rail focused and cuts prep errors.
settings Set it up (Admin)
- 1Go to Overview → Prep Stations and tap “Add Prep Station”.
- 2Give it a name and colour; optionally multi-select its assigned items.
- 3Assign items here or from each item’s “Prep Station” field.
- 4Leave items unassigned to fall to Main Prep (the catch-all that shows everything).
outdoor_grill How the kitchen team uses it
- 1On a KDS/DELZ terminal, open the “Select your kitchen working station” dropdown.
- 2Tick one or more stations to filter the board to that area.
- 3Pick Main Prep to see everything.
info Limits & good to know
- chevron_rightMain Prep can’t be renamed or deleted — it’s the default catch-all.
