Give any dish a target prep time and the KDS shows a live MM:SS countdown with a green→orange→red progress bar once it’s In Prep. When the timer runs out the badge turns red and a bell rings, so nothing sits forgotten on the line.
settings Set it up (Admin)
- 1On the item form, set the “Item Preparation Timer” (1–60 minutes).
- 2That’s it — the countdown appears automatically on the KDS card.
outdoor_grill How the kitchen team uses it
- 1When a dish goes In Prep, its countdown and progress bar start.
- 2Watch the bar move green → orange → red as time passes.
- 3On timeout the badge turns red and a bell rings — fire it now.
info Limits & good to know
- chevron_rightThe timer only runs while the dish is In Prep.
- chevron_rightItems with no timer set simply have no countdown (they still work).
- chevron_rightRange is 1–60 minutes per item.
- chevron_rightIt’s per item, so different dishes can have different targets.
